Gurdwaras or Skih Holy Places in Pakistan are an essential part of Sikhism and form a consequential part of the history of Sikhism. For the Sikh community, a pilgrimage to Pakistan has great spiritual paramountcy. It is here that Baba Guru Nanak was born and lived and Maharaja Ranjit Singh rose to glory. It is in Pakistan (Punjab) that Nankana Sahib, the oldest and the most revered of all Sikh gurdwaras, is located. One of the oldest manuscripts of Guru Granth sahib is placed in Lahore Museum as well. Most of Famous Gurdwaras are located in and around Lahore and Nankana Sahib, a town located 75 Kms west of Lahore.
